Well I tried to post, and it disappeared. I think! LOL! I'll try again.
It's been a busy couple of days around here, and to top it off the for sale sign was taken out of our yard today!! Yipee!! I'm so happy to have a break from the spotless house non-sense! LOL! This housing market is a killer. GOOD LUCK to anyone out there trying to sell right now! I'm glad to be staying put for the time being. We'll just make this house into what we need, and go from there.
The kids and I had a marvelous time!! We missed my hubby, but we found a way to enjoy our time visiting with family and friends! I've got so much to share and pictures to get organized. I'll make another post soon. Right now our house is a disaster with this new room planning.
My hubby got our new school room painted, but now we've got to do some furniture rearranging and organizing. It's a mess here! LOL! On top of that my laptop power cord is giving me fits.

You guys know me all too well! I really wish we were going to Disney, but I just couldn't rationalize the cost of the tickets so soon after our last visit. We will be joining Evelyn at Downtown Disney for a day, so we can squeeze in a tiny bit of magic! LOL!
I did get a great price on Sea World / Aquatica tickets though, so we can go in and out of those two parks all week for the price of one day!!! Now that's a deal!!

My dear friends Sandra and Evelyn, my step sister Brenda, and hopefully my brother-in-law and his wife (all living in Florida) will be getting a visit from my kids and I this week!!! We're so excited to be seeing friends & family and having a week traveling around for fun! WHOO HOO!!

The door is up!! Next is picking paint today, then my husband will begin painting next week while I'm conveniently out of town. LOL!!!! Yippee!! I can't wait to get our new school room set up!

Well, this scrapbooker completely forgot to take a "before" shot. I'll take a "during" shot in the morning. LOL!
We've got a guy doing renovations on our living room / dining room (It's all one long connected room). He's wiring for a ceiling fan, closing in the entry opening a bit, and installing a french door. This is going to become our new school room for next school year. I'm so very excited!!!
We rarely use our living room or dining room, so we decided to quit wasting the space. Our upstairs bonus room was where we were doing school, but now that my hubby works from home more it's difficult for all of us to concentrate in the same room. School work, tests, and conference calls don't mix well.
After the guy is done with the renovations, we'll repaint with a new color .... and then we're off to IKEA!! I've been selling things on craigslist to stash away $$ for school room furniture (bookshelves, desks, cabinets, etc.) We're even selling our dining room furniture (if anyone is looking for something ... hint hint!). The budget isn't huge, but that's what's great about having IKEA not too terribly far away.
Yippee! I can't wait to finish this room! Hopefully pictures will be coming soon! LOL!
PS. In case anyone remembers, we've had our house for sale for almost a year. We're taking the sign out of the yard at the end of next month when our contract ends. It's been a long year, and with the economy the way it is we've decided to wait on the move.

I made this quick book over the weekend for my daughter. It's of all of the Disney characters we've met over the last few years. This was created using quick pages from Britt-ish Design, and adding a few embellishments from Britt-ish Design to the pages. It really went together easily! The most time was gathering the photos. Just thought I'd share!
